Please note that a minimum of 20 registered attendees is required to proceed with each outing. The registration deadline is 7 days prior to each event. SPJST member benefits include admission discounts for certificate-holding youth and adult members. Non-members are welcome to attend, but will be responsible for the full admission price, which may be discounted through group rates.

SPJST State Family Fun Day: Dinosaur World

General Admission Includes:
- Wander among hundreds of life-sized dinosaurs in a natural setting.
- Coolers encouraged – bring your own healthy snacks and drinks.
- Interactive exhibits to capture your kids’ imaginations.
- Dino-themed playground featuring slides, swings, and all-around family fun.
- Friendly dogs on leashes are welcome everywhere.
- Explore our HUGE gift shop offering great values on prehistoric artifacts, toys, games, and numerous photo opportunities.
Itinerary:
- 1:00 p.m.: Welcome members by the building entrance and distribute tickets.
- 1:10 p.m.: Gather in the covered picnic area if you have a cooler.
- 1:15 p.m.: Explore the museum before starting the outdoor tour. Enjoy the playground and many photo ops throughout.
- 3:00 p.m.: Enjoy the various activities and local attractions around Glen Rose.
Optional Evening Event:
- 7th Annual Glen Rose Wine & Art Festival: a free, family friendly event celebrating Texas wine, art, food, and music!
- 11 am – 8 pm, Glen Rose Town Square

Admission for Heritage Fest & Muziky at Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center in La Grange is free of charge. The event starts on Friday, October 17 at 4:30 p.m. with Oktoberfest. Activities on Saturday, October 18 are from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with the fireworks finale at 9:30 p.m. Click here to visit the TCHCC website for more information. No RSVP is required!
