Benjamin Campagna is an experienced legal professional with the heart of a teacher. He understands the intricacies of business law and estate planning and is able to explain them in terms that are easy to understand.
Ben graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Linguistics. His passion for law led him back to his alma mater, where he obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas School of Law in 2011.
Beyond his law practice, Ben is an experienced educator certified by the Texas Education Agency. His contribution to the field of education was recognized when he won the Houston Urban Debate League Coach of the Year for the 2020-2021 school year.
On a personal note, Ben is a family man, happily married since 2012 and the proud father of four children. In his spare time, he enjoys fantasy baseball, trading cards, and board games, which offer him a much-needed break from his professional commitments. Prior to moving to Houston, Ben was the secretary of the Tom Green County Young Lawyers Association, a board member of the San Angelo Downtown Kiwanis, and the legal counsel and district committee chair of the Concho Valley District of the Texas Southwest Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
Ben’s practice focuses primarily in the following areas:
- Estate Planning – drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, medical powers of attorney, and other end-of-life documents, as well as asset protection strategies.
- Probate and Trust Administration – filing and handling probate or guardianship proceedings in court, helping to collect and distribute estate property, and helping to administer trusts after their creation.
- Business Services – helping to create and file partnerships, LLCs, and corporations, and helping to manage business organizations by drafting partnership/company agreements, buy-sell agreements, meeting minutes, and other governing documents.
- Contract Drafting and Review – reviewing proposed or existing contracts and drafting new contracts to finalize an agreement or transaction.
- Real Estate – drafting or reviewing real estate sales contracts and leases, drafting deeds, or negotiating leases and easements.
While his practice is focused primarily on transactional law, Ben also has experience in other areas, including personal injury and civil rights litigation. He is also part of a network of attorneys that handle a wide variety of legal matters. If you have legal questions and don’t know where to turn, reach out to Ben and he can refer you to an attorney he trusts.
